Though Printflo can accept all sorts of inputs, the most flexible are documents designed using Unified Technology's 'xddf' intelligent document format. These documents can be tightly integrated into a website and provide the following advantages.

• XML format with xsd schema means that xddf documents can be authored with standard tools and expertise.
• Documents can include variable data. Any standard variable data tytpes can be included – a set of text options, free form text, web images etc.
• Validity checking is included. The document designer can specify what is and what isn't valid for any variable fields.
• Xddf documents can be previewed in jpeg or pdf format and this preview can be integrated into your customer's website.
• Data from a web page can be 'injected' into an xddf document, so that (for example) a business card might be integrated into a customers web site; as long as the user is logged in, that business card will already contain the users actual name, job title and contact details, making the ordering of business card a one-click operation.
